I just received 9 obituaries from a library in Macon, Georgia and found out some startling information. First, Amory L Brown (b. abt 1835) is NOT Amory Loring Brown, Sr. He is Amory Lewis Brown, born November 15, 1834 in Fort Valley, Houston Co, GA, died February 23, 1915 in Macon, Bibb Co, GA, buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon (Rose Hill Cemetery has a great website at rosehillcemetery.org). His wife was Rebecca Antoinette "Nettie" Sanford, born April 4 1841 in Fort Valley, died January 28, 1923 in Macon, buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. They had 4 children; Amory Loring Brown, Elizabeth Cecilia Brown (who married Charles Edward Newton and had three children), Edgar George Brown and Albert Brown.

I found out that my gg aunt (Amory Loring Brown's wife) died on October 31, 1916 in Macon after having 6 children. She is also buried at Rose Hill Cemetery. Loring remarried to a woman named Mary (who was quite a bit younger than he) about 1919. They moved to Florida and, in 1929, He shot and killed her then committed suicide. I have this obituary.

Other obituaries received today are of: Amory Lewis Brown, Rebecca Nettie Sanford Brown, Mamie Gray Brown, Elizabeth Cecilia Brown Newton, Edgar George Brown, Charles Edward Newton.
