Hi Charles, hope this information I have helps. I've been researching my ancestors (Howards) in Houston County for some time and have noticed that the LIsenby's were early and prominent settlers of Houston County. I do have a Holly Lisenby who married Stancil Howard on 6/2/1849. I do not have much on Holly except she and several relatives were members of the Primitive Fellowship Baptist Church in Houston County. I know Stancil was a Justice of Peace 1/11/1859 to 1/16/1860. Stancil joined the
CSA cause and served in Company G 8th Cavalry for the Army of Tennessee and received the Southern Cross of Honor for his service. This is all I know, have never been able to find out who Holly's parents were but I wonder if she is the sister or cousin of John, for there is only two years difference in when they were married. I also do not know if Stancil and Holly had children. I do hope this helps. Lenita
