Hi Darlene, when researching Houston County for my ancestors, the Howards, I notice that there were a lot of Reddings and Rouses, and after reading the post from alabama, i surmise that a female Redding married a male Rouse and named one of their sons Redding Rouse, however I did find in some court records of Houston County that a John W.T. Howard was granted guardianship in 5/3/1869 of the orphans of Abner F. Redding, the names of these children were Kittie Redding, Mattie C. Redding, Charles Augustus Redding and Abbie Redding. Perhaps looking into the Reddings you can find one who married a Rouse. Good Luck. Lenita
