I am looking for information about the Marsh and Clanton families of Irwin Co Ga. In particular, there was a Reuben Marsh b 1793 who married Nancy Marshall. The family moved to Montgomery Co Ga then to Florida, but Reuben apparently returned to Irwin Co where he died in 1849. I am interested in who his parents were. I think he may have been a brother of James Calvin Marsh b abt 1795, who was my 3great-grandfather. James was in Emanuel Co Ga 1820-1840 censuses, and may have died before 1850. James had a son, James Jr, who married Caroline Dukes Clanton. I have also found Clanton ties in the Reuben Marsh family.
