David, I am married into the Padgetts that originally came from Laurens Co., Ga. My husband's grandfather was James Cleveland Padgett, married to Johnny Butler. James Cleveland's daddy was Josiah Padgett and he was called "Joe" as was my husband's father. These Padgett's came to Irwin co. and most of them went later to Florida , around Tampa. W.W. Padgett could be kin, do you know any of his brothers or sisters? Sorry, I do not have any dates.
