Looking for any information on Nancy Murry, born 1817, died 1890 in Madison or Jackson counties. According to family stories she was never married, however she had several children, among whom was my great grandfather Stephen Thomas Murry (or Murray) who married Mary Elmyrah Pamela Ann Tempey Burroughs (daughter of William c. and Mary Polly Ann Buzby). A neighbor, Stephen Morris lists her children as his children, but the children are all named Murry, not Morris and that, combined with family legend of a traveling horse trader or some such leads me to believe that she was not married. I have not been able to find any information about her. Can anyone help?
