Hello
Thanks for the reply. I was able to find a university in Georgia that has a collection of records about the Baptist from the 1700's and 1800's. They have a professor that is knowledgeable about the Baptist and I will tryto coatact him and see if there are any recors. Alsom there is the Serepta Baptist Organizatin in Ga and I will contact them and ask if they have anyrecords.
Would yuo know if Candler's Creek Baptist Church was in Clarke co Ga since Clarke co Ga was formed from Jackson co Ga in 1801? I have seen the names Owen Bowen and Runnels associated with my George Ray or Wray who went to Jackson co Ga in 1798 and was living in Clarke co Ga in 1801 when Clarek co Ga was formed. His land was in the fork of the north and middle Oconee River just east of Watkinsville Ga.
Also, I noticed in the information you sent that a Thoma and Rebecka Wray sold the land for Candler's Creek Baptist Church. I have no idea who he was. thanks,
Ross
