I am researching the Vandiver families of South Carolina and
Georgia, A survey if Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson County Ga. has several graves of Vandiver family members.
All of he Vandiver graves except the following can be traced o the Vandivers that I am researching. These two graves are marked as follows:
Gertrude Vandiver
Feb 6, 1814
June 1, 1886
At Rest
H. (Iligile) Vandiver
June 6, 1810
June 12 1898
At Rest
These two graves are located in a large Vandiver Cemetery Plot that also contains graves of Jacob Warren Vandiver 1847-1916;Octavia Vandiver 1849-1927, Hettie Vandiver, 1866-1928, Claud C. Vandiver 1878-1971 and Ruby B. Vandiver 1884-1971.
