Hi Glenna,

If you can locate a copy of the book "The Early History of Jackson County, Georgia" Jared Cunningham is mentioned four times.

The first three seem to be a story told by someone where he is praised for his singing.

The fourth time it says this:

"The population of Tumbling Shoals and vicinity had been increased to 42 men, women, and children. Among them were Jared Cunningham, James Montgomery, and Dr. Henry Therrauld. Cunningham settled at Hurricane Shoals, and one of our districts was named after his son, John."

You may have had this information but I wanted to make sure. Happy Hunting,
Gigi
