I am trying to acquire information on a Confederate American Civil War veteran who is buried in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia who may have been born in Georgia. I have a "Schedule 1, Inhabitants in House, District N. 243, in the County of Jackson, 29 day of June 1888" which lists him as being a farmer living there.

His name was John C. (Cornish) Pentecost, born 1838 and died at 94 years of age. He was married there, but am not sure of the name of his wife; it may have been Harriett. He served in Company "E", 13th Georgia Cavalry during the war.

I don't know his fathers name, but his father was born in North Carolina.

I found that there is a record there in the Family History Library Film #1254153, NA Film Number T9-0153, page number 578B; which may provide information on him. If necessary, I will be happy to pay for any materials you can acquire.

I would really like to acquire any information available on this individual and his family, so he can be added to the Veterans memorial website, www.acwv,info.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
