THANK you VERY much for reply

Don't get many replies on my Browns

Have been researching Huky/Hukey since 1974

For a man who had SO many children there seems to be NO one left with surname Brown...

Hukey/Huky MOST LIKELY born in Va as Franklin Co, or Jackson Co, Ga NOT in existence at time of his birth

Other circumstantial evidence also seems to indicate western Va...

Not known how many marriages Hukey/Huky had but AT LEAST two.

Second OR third marriage seems to have taken place BEFORE births of Bedford and Harriet but WHERE is unknown.

NO proof whatsoever that Hukey/Huky's name was William

Seems two or three grandsons named William Huky/Hukey may have led to this most probable misconception...

Perhaps first grandson named after Hukey/Huky was named William Huky/Hukey after grandfathers(Huky Brown and WIILIAM Laughter)

Our Huky's name was written only as Huky/Hukey/Herky/or Hewkey on all records found so far(even in county in Ga where he lived BEFORE Franklin Co)

This was OLD Walton Co, which is now part of North Carolina...

Don't think I will ever find his parents BUT...

THANKS again!!!!!!
