Edwards Family Bible

By looking line by line at the estate records of James Edwards (b. 1786 in GA; d; 1861 in Jasper Co., GA) I recently learned that the oldest son, John Edwards, purchased the family Bible at the estate sale. John died in Jasper Co., GA in 1899. Since we have no idea who James' father was, having the information from this Bible could be the "Holy Grail" that we have been looking for. The Bible would have at least the following information:
James Edwards, b. 1786/88 in GA; d. 1861 in Jasper Co., GA
Martha Hamilton, b. 1794 in SC; d. 1865 in Jasper Co., GA
Married Dec. 2, 1813 in Jasper Co., GA
Children of James and Martha Edwards:
John, B. 1815 in Jasper Co. GA, m. Elizabeth Waldrop
Ruben Hamilton, B. 1818 in Jasper Co m. Lucinda Hays
Sarah, B. 1/23/1823 in Jasper Co. GA m. Sherrod Lindsey
James C., B. 1825 in Jasper Co. GA m. Frances Grubbs
Mary M., B. 1828 in Jasper Co. GA
Nancy C., B. 1831 in Jasper Co. GA died unmarried
Catherine, B. 1832 in Jasper Co. GA
Martha Jane, B. 1834 m. George W. Kinard
Solomon Henry, B. 1835 in Jasper Co.
Joel Jefferson, B. 1836 in Jasper Co. killed in Civil War
Tabitha, B. about. 1837 m. Oliver Holloway
William M., B. about 1838
J. Simeon, B. 1839 in Jasper Co. GA

Since almost no one would destroy a Bible, this particular Bible may still be in existance, but who knows where it is. If anyone has ever seen a Bible with this information, you hold the key to the puzzle that hundreds of people have been trying to solve for years. In the book, Trailing Our Ancestors, the author indicates that James Edwards was the son of a John Edwards, Jr. and that two of his brothers were Pryor and Morris Edwards. This information has been proven to be incorrect. Pryor and Morris were brothers and the sons of John Edwards and Jane Morris, but he was NOT a John Edwards, Jr., and James was certainly not the brother of Pryor and Morris; this has been proven by documents and by DNA. My brother's DNA matches that of a descendent of Reuben Edwards, born 1759 in NC but we have no documents linking the two together. Reuben lived in GA from about 1785 until his death in 1840 in GA and both James and Reuben lived in Jasper Co. at the same time, but nothing linking them together. I hope and pray that someone out there has a clue as to the existance of this Bible.
