I believe that my husband's great-great grandmother Geneva Martin was the daughter of Oliver H. Martin and Susannah Lumsden. William Mark Williams and Geneva Martin married in Jasper County, Georgia, in 1843. They went to Leake County, Mississippi, but they were back in Georgia in the 1860 census.

Geneva Martin was born in 1825. The Oliver H. Martin family was the only Martin family in the 1840 census that had a daughter between 15 and 20.

In the 1860 census, Geneva and William Mark are living on or near the plantation of Robert Wright in Newton County, Georgia. This is right on the county line between Newton and Jasper County. Hugh M. Martin (Oliver H. Martin's son and Geneva's brother) lived on the other side of the line in Jasper County. Susannah Martin (Geneva's mother)lived in the area also.
