The Augusta Chronicle Augusta, Georgia Tuesday, August 22, 1939 MRS. A. S. ANDERSON PASSES AT MILLEN FINAL RITES TODAY Millen, Ga. Aug. 21.-- Mrs. Etta Lovett Anderson, wife of A. S. Anderson, died early today at her residence, here after an extended illness, in which she had been confined to her bed for nearly a year. Surviving her husband who is the Internal Revenue department of the government, supervising the alcohol taxes for the Southern States, and former postmaster of Millen; three sons, Albert S. Anderson Jr., of Toronto, Canada, special attorney for the Coca Cola Company; Capt. William Lovett Anderson of New London, Conn., Annapolis graduate who is now instructor at the submarine base; and Charles Anderson, Millen lawyer, also an Annapolis graduate, who later studied law and returned to his home for practice, now solicitor of the city court, Mrs. G. G. Brinson of Millen and Mrs. Eva Lovett Herrington of Jenkins county; four grandchildren, Helen Constance and Mary Martha Anderson of New London; Constance Spalding Anderson of Toronto, and Charles Anderson Jr., of Millen. Mrs. Anderson, age 64 had spent her married life in Millen. She was the daughter of the late William R. Lovett of Burke county and his wife Mary Elizabeth Oliver of Screven county. Her church affliliation was with the Corinth Christian church in Screven county. Mrs. Anderson's life had been circumscribed by her home and her children. She took little interest in the many things that distract the modern mother from her family fireside. In her declining years she reaped the reward for this concentration of interest by enjoying the success of her sons in their chosen fields. Funeral services will be held at the Fletcher Funeral Home in Millen tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and immediately following the remains will be carried to the Lovett family cemetery near Girard, Ga., for burial. Pallbearers will be Dr. Q. A. Mulkey, Dr. Floyd Rackley, A. S. Newton and W. H. Sheppard of Millen; J. C. Carter of Charlotte, N.C., C. A. Mims and M. A. Zeigler of Screven county, and H. W. Brown of Garfield. Rev. J. R. Chatfield of Eastman, Ga. and Rev. W. E.
