Liz,
Do you know anyone who would do a search for me at the courthouse? My interest is Robert Gilmore , wife Suzanna Guice, who served and died in the War of l812. He left two little girls, Isabella ("Ibby) and Rutha. James Gilmore was his temporary administrator. I feel sure there must be some information in the old records but was told they were in the vault.
We've made two trips to Lincolnton , enjoyed both but not able to research beyond the books in the Judge's office.
