Lost family Members takin in by family Potts male cherokee

My oldest Potts born sometime around the 1830 - 1840 believed to be in GA. was taken in by a Potts family and given that surname sometime around the Indian Removal in GA. He is believed to be raised in TN and later moved to AR. My younger William Potts (older Potts son) died and the children were taken in by others in TN around the early 1900's. One family is believed to be a Duggar (may be spelled differently).
