I am looking for information on my fourth great-grandparents William Fulcher & Lorena Winifred LANE Chewning.
William Fulcher Chewning was born about 1805 in Virginia & died before the 1860 census for DeKalb County, Georgia.
Lorena Winaford LANE was born 03 December 1812 Georgia and died in 1870 or 1871, both died in DeKalb County, Georgia. They married in 1831. She was the daughter of Jesse Jr. & Rhoda JOLL(E)Y Lane.
Known Children:
Virginia Ann Chewning married J. E. George 05 March 1850, their daughter Florence George living with Captain Hardy Isaiah Sr. & Laura Sophia CHEWNING Randall in the 1880 census for Lemons District, Cobb County, Georgia.
Laura Sophia Chewning born 14 December 1837 Georgia died
07 July 1923 Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia at their son Paul Hill Randall's house married Captain Hardy Isaiah RANDALL Sr., born 29 March 1838 Cobb County, Georgia died 17 August 1912 Vinings, Cobb County, Georgia (Vinings founded by his Grandfather Hardy PACE).
Jesse G. Chewning (Jesse W. in 1850 DeKalb County, Georgia) born about 1840 Georgia.
John Albert Chewning born about 1843 Georgia
DeKalb Historical Society website lists a John A. Chewning marrying Margaret HUDGINS 08 September 1874, this could be Uncle John.
Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated, & I will gladly share what I have on the Lane family & if interested the John Bull-Randal(l) family which Captain Randall descends from.
