The Augusta Chronicle and Gazette of The State, Sept. 1, 1792, Mr. George Crutchfield died Thursday.

The following (from "Families of Virginia" by George Warren Chapplear) is reported to be from a Bible Record, written by John Crutchfield, husband of Mary Barret.
"John Crutchfield, my father, lived in the Coty of Hanover, Virginia, & died there before I had my birth, as I have been informed. Elizabeth, my mother, daughter of Mr. George Dabney of the Coty of King William, deceased when I was an infant.
page 90:
I was born Febry 17th, 1748, as appears from a Register of my age which I have seen in a large Bible that was my Father's.
I was married July 29th 1767, to Mary Barret, daughter of Revd. Robert Barret of Hanover Coty., Virginia".

George Crutchfield my first born was born Decr. 5th, 1768
