I am interested in information on Green WATLEY, mentioned below:

“MRS. ELIZABETH WATLEY, AGED 62 YEARS, IS DEAD.

“Mrs. Elizabeth WATLEY, aged 62 years, died at her residence, No 2357 [?] Third avenue, at 7 o’clock yesterday morning, after an illness of several months. [?], Hamer, and John WATLEY, of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Allie OWENS, Mrs. WATSON and Mrs. Ada SEDBERRY, all of this city. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. The funeral will take place from the house at 10 o’clock this morning and will be conducted by Rev. Aaron HART….”

[Columbus (GA) Daily Enquirer-Sun, Sunday, October 11, 1903.]

“MRS. ELIZABETH WATLEY DIED YESTERDAY

“At Her Home On Upper Third Avenue After a Long Illness.

“… ___ died at her [don’t have this section – continued at top of next column:] Free Will Baptist church. She is survived by four sons, Mr. Green WATLEY of Taylor county, and Messrs. James [?], Homer and John WATLEY, of this city, and by three daughters Mrs. A[llie] OWENS, Mrs. WATSON, and Mrs. Ada SEDBERRY [?], all of Columbus. The funeral will take place from the house at 10 o’clock this morning, conducted by Rev. Aaron HART, and the interment will be at Clapp’s factory burying ground.”

[Columbus (GA) Ledger newspaper, Sunday, 11 OCT 1903.]

Also wondering if Elizabeth is connected to Mr. A. P. WATLEY, a well-digger who was killed in a cave-in in the North Highlands section of Columbus in May 1902?

Thanks - John in TX
