Taylor Co. was formed in 1852, so there is no census for the county before 1860. Taylor was formed from Marion, Macon, and Talbot counties, so you'd need to check the censuses for each of those counties in 1850 and 1840 to see which of these counties your Johnsons and Joiners lived in prior to the formation of Taylor Co.
