Glad to be of service! In 1848 "A Statistical History of Georgia" claimed that the community was established in 1832. In 1848 it had a church, store and a blacksmith shop. However, the original deed of property for the church was dated 1839. Most churches here began as meetings in an arbor on undeeded property, so it is probable that the church began in 1832 or earlier. The Baptist church that I belong to is only three or four miles from Loudsville and it was constituted in 1822. By the names of the first officers of the Loudsville Church, I'd say they couldn't have formed much later than my church. An article in "A History of White County 1857-1980" states that meetings at the Loudsville Campground began in 1833. Unfortunately I've loaned out my Habersham/White County cemetery book or I'd give you the earliest date found in the cemetery. If you need something looked up, let me know. I only live a few miles away from the church.
