Don’t know where they go from there? But the next mention of AJ is the 1870 Census in Union Co. Ga. With a wife named Sally. Her full name was Sarah Sally Sandland.

Buried in Suches Georgia (Union County) are:
AJ PALMER BORN MAY 9 1815 DIED DEC. 11 1896. HE IS BURIED AT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH IN SUCHES GA. UNION CO. He has a Confederate Grave marker and I have found where he served in the Confederate Army. HIS WIFE SALLIE SANDLIN PALMER BORN FEB. 28 1826 AND DIED SEPT. 16 1899 IS BURIED NEXT TO ANDREW.
ALSO ELIZABETH PALMER, John A. Palmer’s first wife BORN AUG. 4 1859 DIED OCT. 9 1919 is also buried there. So are her parents, Allen and Sallie Postell Ingram.
John A Palmer b. 1859 d. 1939 moved to TN and married Nancy Lou Bell d. 1920. Their children were, James b. 1890, Albert V., b. 1893, E.C. (Eugene?) b. 1896, Viz A b. 1892, Alda L.B. b.1900, and perhaps John H, b.1902.
EC may have married a Flora and had child, Glades born about 1920, Albert married Ruby L and had Rosa and James born in the 1910-1920 time frame.
John, Nancy and their children are buried in cemeteries within McMinn County Tennessee.
