Have you tried different spellings. I have found this name first spelled Gabie, Gabby, Gabbey, Gibby, Gibbey, Gibbie. I am also from the Gibby line and I think there are not to many people researching this name. The oldest person I have in my tree at this time is Robert Gabby the first born in early 1700 and died in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Do you have a place to reference you Gabbey/Gibby line? Write soon.
