Dorothy, There isn't much going on on the Gaff family page is there. I went back to the 1870 Smith twp, Whitley Co. In and found:
Alpheus B. Gaff 40 Farmer from Ohio
Rebecca Gaff 35 Housekeeper from Ohio
Alonzo P. 14 son from Indiana
Mary C. 12 dau, from Indiana
Charles W. 7 son from Ohio
so who is this Charles W. Gaff above and why isn't he with his parents on the 1880 census.The 1880 census was taken on June 18,1880 if Charles was born in Jan. 1880 he would have been on it Alonzo and Nancy Gaff have only one child on the 1880 census Cora A. dau. 2 Personally I think that the Charles W who married Dotty Davis was born Jan. 1881 that would match up with his age on the census the other Charles W. Gaff was an Uncle.
