Richard Gaines' wife at the time of his death was Jincy(Drummond)Cheatham Gaines. She was 1st married to Thomas Cheatham, he died 1816 in Abbeville, SC. Jincy & Thomas had two children Eliza and Benjamin D. Cheatham. Eliza 1st. married Joseph Hill and 2nd. to John Graham. Benjamin Cheatham was my grgrgrandfather.
