Cary, do you think you might post either the ages given in the census where you found these people or compute the date of birth from those ages given (better), and tell which census year and which state and county census for which people? It would be a real help for others to tell if there is a connection here. There are several of us working on TN GAMMONS/GAMMON, but we need a little more info than what is in your first message. If your ancestors were using the GAMMONS surname variation in TN, they are probably connected to ours, and we may be able to help.
