John,
Two cousins of mine, they are sister and brother, have been working extensively on the Gatens side of our family. Maybe a coordinated effort at getting the immigration records and ship's list would be the best way to proceed. No point in a duplicated effort, especially where the money is concerned.
We are missing some information, such as, which port of entry and in what year, etc. After finding out the status of my cousins research, either they or I will e:mail you, privately, to see if you have any more defining information. Once we have something worthwhile one of us could post here so that the information is shared.
