I am trying to locate my ancestor. Eunice Gay or Jay. she married Moses Weldon in 8th day of Sept. 1829. She died before 1840 because Moses remarries then. There is an Allen Gay living next door to Moses' father Moses Weldon in Harris, Georgia, 1840.
Moses in 1840 was living in Chambers Alabama. He remarries esther Cardwell. They moved to Chambers Co. AL. Moses and Eunice's son Francis Marion/Moses Weldon's first 3 children were born in Talapoosa, AL
I'm hoping to find a connection through Allen.
The census lists 7 boys under 20 and 1 daughter between 5-10. he was (40-50) and his wife was (30-40).
