The original family member that I have found is Anton Gehring, born around 1849. He came to this country on the steamship New York at the age of 18 in 1867. He married Anna Schneider Nov, 1 1873 in Toledo. They had 3 children, Albertina, Elizabeth, and Clemons Rudolph. When Clemons was only 2, Anton hung himself leaving his wife and 3 children destitute. Albertina was born about 1874 and died May 10 1896. Elizabeth was born about 1876 and died Feb 29 1936. Clemons Rudolph was born Sept. 17 1882. and died April 28 1964. Clemons later in life went by the name of Rudolph briefly and Charles R Gehring for many years. Clemons married Rosa Hatt the first time June 11, 1902 in Monroe Mich. He married her a second time on Nov 2,1914. He was in the Army from 1908 until 1914. He had 3 children, Ruth Rose born June 16, 1902, (only 14 days after getting married). Robert Danial born Oct 17, 1903. Richard Henry born Dec, 23, 1906. I have a lot more if you can call or give me a fax number.
