JOHN THORNTON OR(THORTON) MARTIN
just am getting started on this and its more of a job then i thought.
the most i have right or as far back as i can get is
this is my great great grandfather. he was born sept 12,
1843 in pennslyvania. he married a woman named sarah todd
from virginia.
he was in the civil war, fought for the CSA in the north
carolina volunteer infantry 52 reg. comp. K.
died and buried in north carolina in 1912.
i am tryin to go back farther and find out his father and
mothers name and so on.
try to put a family tree together for my brother and get
the correct coat of arms.
if anyone has any leads please let me know. i need all
the help i can get.
