I read the book ONE DROP by Bliss Broyard awhile back. She only learned of her father's African American heritage after his death. At the end of the book, she mentions that both she and her brother had their DNA tested, out of curiosity, to find out just how racially mixed they were. If I recall correctly, the tests for both siblings turned out just a bit differently. Bliss had herself re-tested (a total of three times, if memory serves) and the results varied slightly each time.
