I like you, Rick, because you are not afraid to admit that you have made mistakes. We all have, but many are not willing to admit it and give others the benefit of them. I cannot begin to tell you how many mistakes I made when I started all this 50-plus years ago (1953). Back then people, including "professional genealogists" made a lot of statements without anything at all to back them up. I was very young, and I thought they ought to know what they were talking about. It took me ten years of trying to document their "facts" before I realized there was a lot more to researching my families than what they led me to believe. A lot of the garbage they perpetrated is out there on the web today. All these years later, I still make mistakes, but not in being precise about documenting sources specifically!!! That caused me grief once, but it won't again! Betty Notify Administrator about this message?
