Help with 's problem

I did not always have this issue but lately when I enter a lower case 's in a place field it will turn to capital 'S. Such as Bucher's will become Bucher'S. I also tried this with a dash and it will do the same. My older entries are fine until I open the person and make changes. Any ideas on why?
