Hmm, I never have been able to get the initial caps button to stay on for more than 2 - 3 generations and then I have to turn it back on. I don't recall it affecting anything other than the person's name on that one page.
I can't think of any other solution right now. I haven't had much info to enter in awhile and so haven't had the problem come up lately.
