Hi, I've managed to solve the problem myself.
I don't know how but,the generations program on my PC must have become corrupted .
So I installed the Generations program onto my laptop from the disc,loaded my saved family file into it,gedcommed it to another program,(My Heritage)on my PC,it was OK.
I then uninstalled the Generations program on my PC completely and then re-installed it from the disc.
I then loaded my saved family file and gedcommed it to Genes Reunited.
Every thing loaded OK,tree,names and dates,the notes transferred OK, but they all have additonal random lists of letters and numbers added at the end?even on the birth,death and occ entries in the family file page?.
