I think we might have a connection somewhere. I have a Charles Emerson Goddard born in 1835 in Chagrin, Ohio. He moved to Michigan, was married in Tuscola County, Mich and died in Standish, MI. I am searching for his father. I think he was named Emerson E.(maybe Edwin?) Goddard and his mother was Harriet Hewes. Both of them were born in MA. She was born in 1819. The Edwin and Charles names make me think there could be a connection, as well as the Ohio and Michigan places. Have you found any more on the Goddard line since your posting?
