We are researching Goddards from Birmingham,Warwickshire,and what we have is father John Goddard,son Alfred James born Nov.1839 who died in 1901. At time of Alfred's marriage to Sarah Ann Cunningham John was deceased .Alfred and Sarah had three children,a daughter named Florence,Maria who was sent to Canada thro Middlemore Homes at age 10 as a British Home child and there was a son possibly 3 yrs old who may have been put in Dr.Barnardos home.Alfred had died and Sarah could not provide for children. They resided at 122 Moland St. Birmingham in the St. George district. Maria is my husband's grandmother and was sent to Nova Scotia. Does this seem to have any connection to what you have.
