My grandfather Joseph A Mitchell married her in Feb 1879. I have a copy of her marriage license. I searched the family trees at roots but they have her married to another man. I was curious so I checked. There is another Eliza Goddard married to him. Not Eliza G as they believe.
In all the census she is always down as Eliza G wife to Joseph Mitchell except in the 1900 census where his name is James instead of Joseph. I can see how this mistake was made.
Eliza G Mitchell {Goddard} Died 1918 in roane co and is buried in the Goddard Family cemetery with her two sons Charles Ottis and my grandfather Claude Raymond Mitchell.
