There is a marriage record for John Henry Marney and Eliza Goddard. Some believe she is the second wife and Lydia Goddard is his first. He had only one marriage. Lydia and Eliza are the same woman. Not Eliza G Goddard.

Eliza G Goddard had married Feb 1879 to Joseph A Mitchell and had a son James A Mitchell born Jan of 1880. Marriage license is at the Roane co Historical Society.
It is understandable how the mistake between the Elizas were make. This information is for those following the Eliza G Goddard line and Marney line. It would so frustrating to find yourself on the wrong branch or tree after many hours of research. I hope this will help.
