Thank you very much, Susan, for all your hard work. There are several things in your information that I can use. Apparently James Lee must have died between 1880 and 1900 - problems caused in the loss of the 1890 Census. He did come to Colton, California and was owner of one of the biggest wholesale grocery business in the area - James Lee & Co. If your curiousity is such that you'd like to know about this, just let me know and I'll be glad to share it with you.
