From the source "History of the Central Ohio (Methodist) Conference": Amos and Harvey "two brothers, Amos the older brother" pg 70, Thomas H."The brother of Amos"pg72.These two statements lead one to believe"brother"Harvey pg70 and Thomas H.pg72 "the brother of Amos" are one in the same person. Amos left OH and "went west" for a number of years (during the civil war time); returned to OH in the late 1800's where he died after retiring from a medical practice. Page 307 Rev.John H. Wilson 1872(may be son because of the date given)"First pastor of the new church which now took the name St.Johns"Toledo OH. Pg 228-229Thomas H. Wilson 1846served at Epworth Church Marion OH. pg164 Rev TH Wilson dedicated a church in "Anna" OH.Anna once called "MtGilead" OH 1858 north of Sidney OH. Amos's brother? maybe... pg218 TH Wilson served as one of the first pastor's of "Old Trinity" Lima OH. If he was one of the first he could have been there in the 1840's The church started in 1820. pg 281 There was a Charles Goodard 1832 served at the William Street Church in Deleware OH. A Sarah Lucile Wilson b OH ap 1845 married married Wilson Sheckles (sp?)and had at least one da Anna b IA 1865 who married John Henry Goddard. Family story says Sarah and Wilson Sheckles moved back to OH to 1867 ap. Would Sarah be the daughter of Amos Wilson who left OH and also returned? Any one know the death date of Amos Wilson? Do any of you Wilson's show a Goddard in your family line? All were methodist. Maybe there is a connection??? Help!! Beth Notify Administrator about this message?
