John H. Horsey b. 1 April 1805, d. 25 May 1881 in Caroline County, MD. He married Mary Neal b. 1 Jan 1806, d. 27 Mar 1900. I have there marriage date occuring some time in 1828. I went and visited the cemetery where they are buried and took pictures of the grave stones. It is a family cemetery on private property, but my mother knows the owner and got permission for us to go. On the census records it lists John H.(Handy) Horsey and parents as being born in Delaware.
I'm going to try and make a trip to the DE archives next Saturday. I wanted to look at John D. Horsey's will and also see if I can find any kind of birth records for John H. Horsey. I just started my research a few weeks ago. Any idea on ways to locate John H. Horsey's parents.
Oh, I also noticed that someone had mentioned Wingate Cannon as marrying one of the Goddards. On the 1850 census, there is a Hudson Cannon b. about 1790 living with John H. Maybe there's some relation to Wingate??
