The Goodlove Family is seven generations of Christian, Iowa, farmers beginning with Conrad Goodlove born 1793, in Berks County, PA. Conrad's family was from Germany and it is the oral history of the family that the name was changed from Gottlieb. It was speculated that Conrad was the son of Francis Godlove however, recent DNA evidence suggests that the Godlove's descended from Francis Godlove Sr. have a common ancestor prior to Francis. This research is currently ongoing.
