I am looking for an Elizabeth _____ b. 1802 in S.C. who married _____ Goss who probably died before 1850. An 1850 Dekalb Co, Georgia census list an Elizabeth Goss, age 48 born in S.C. as head of household with children born in Georgia: Amanda, age 14, Eliza J. age 11, Wilson A age 6, Roxa A 3. I think the Eliza J was Eliza Jane who married _____ Terry and had 2 children--John Alonzo Benjamin Hamilton Terry and Mary Jane Amanda Ann Terry (my g grandmother). Mr. Terry must have died before 1860. The 1860 Georgia census has E.J. and her 2 children in the household of W.F. Potts & N.T. Potts. In about 1862 Eliza Jane Terry married W.F.Potts--Nancy died after July 1860. In the 1870 Rutherford Co, Tn census, Eliza's two children are listed as Potts not Terry. Can anyone fill in the blanks.
