I am a descendant of Philip Gossard and Eleanor Ross. I have been working on this part of my family tree for the last few months. Philip was killed in Franklin Tennessee on Nov 30 1864 which what is now the Franklin Battlefield. I have traced him to Jacob Gossard who was born in Maryland in 1786! I only have info from this point forward.I have all the census records you have. Philips son William Hinz Gossard was my Great Great Grandfather. I hope this helps!
