Am seeking information on the family of George Gossard Sr. (1785-1872?) and Catherine Knode (1789-1876?), who were from Franklin Co. in Pennsylvania. I particular, I'd like information on their siblings (if any), and on George's father. My sources suggest George's father was named John Gossuit, who emigrated from France around 1790 to Waynesboro, Pennsylvania (Franklin County). I'd like to know if this story is true.

George Gossard Sr. and Catherine Knode were my great-great-great-great-grandparents.
