Jacob Gosser/ Margaret (?) HELP!

I am a descendant of Philip Gossard/Anna Maria Kinny. They were from Switzerland, PA, and then Ross Co, Ohio. Some fellow genealogists are showing Jacob Gosser his father with wife- Margaret Spengler (sp?) I am seeing much controversy about this. All I have is the Jacob(shown Johan Jacob Gosser) and Margaret no last name. Everytime I search I get controversy. DO ANY OF YOU DESCENDANTS OF THE GOSSER/SPANGLER LINE know if a connection is true or can validate it is not? All I have so far is Jacob died in 1779 and the will was proved Apr. 14, 1779 in Lancaster Co., Pa. The names on the will check out- no other info---ANY TAKERS?
