Robin,
Johann Jacob GOSSER/GASSERT was married to Maria Margaretta SPANGLER. However the childrens names were Johann Jacob, Johann (John), Adam and Maria. There was no Philip.I have this documented in a deed after the death of Johann Jacob. The deed is dated 1801. In it, it is stated that these were the only children of this man. There were at least 3 Jacob GOSSERS in the same area and appear to have attended the same church. This area of PA has been in Lancaster county, then Dauphin county and part of it is now in Lebanon county. The townships have also been changed. To add to the confusion, there are two townships with the same name in two separate counties only about 20 miles apart. I hope you find this information helpful.
