Sorry for butting in on your conversation, however, if you could have a quick look at my former entry re' Gozzards in Yorkshire....
My Grandfather was Ernest Gozzard, and lived in Edwinstowe, Notts, before moving a few miles away to Market Warsop. He had three children - Joan, Jacqueline (my mother) and John.
It sounds suspiciously as though we might well be some sort of cousins.
Do you have anymore details on the Notts branch of your family?
Jody - we have Canadian relatives, so this could all get very exciting!
