I just found out information, so maybe you could help me. My husband's father,s father came to Canada in 1928. He was from Chefield ( not sure of spelling) He was 17 years old. He was born on Mushroom Lane. He was given a chose of Austrialia or Canada. His name was George William Gozzard His mothers name was Kathrine (Hill)
Can you help with more info.
Some had worked in a spoon company there
